About Teresa Breeden; High School Drafting & Design (CADD) Teacher: Since 2002, I have taught high school in the fields of Drafting & Design, Architectural Design, Engineering, and Art.
I have been using CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) programs since 1997 (I started on AutoCAD R14). The CAD platforms I've used since then include AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit, and Solidworks. I draft both for work and for pleasure, using my drafting skills in art applications as well and industry. In fact, the house I'm currently living in, I designed, drafted and got permitted to build. In art I have worked in ceramics (functional and sculptural), drawing, painting, photography, and the literary art of writing and poetry. I also consider architectural design, which I cover in the Drafting classes is a form of art. I am very grateful for the many blessings in my life. Few people get the opportunity to design and build their dream house. And not everyone is lucky enough to find a job that is both challenging and fulfilling. I love my work and am impressed each year with the quality of young people I get to meet in the classroom. |
Some Things You Might Not Know About Me
Travel I've had many opportunites for travel during my life-- especially my younger life. Most of my travelling was in the company of my family (my parents and brother, and, later, my husband). A few trips I made on my own through study abroad programs.
Though I enjoy visiting new places and experiencing other cultures, my favorite city is my home city of Carson, and my favorite vacation spot is my own house. Here are some places I have enjoyed visiting. |
Publications I've been a poet most of my life, and some of my poetry has been published in literary journals across the United States. Though newer to the fiction writing genre, I have finished one fantasy novel which I am hoping to get published. In the meantime, I've started work on a second novel.
Regardless of publications or accolades, I love to write. Writing helps me clarify my world and goals, and allows me to glut the creative side of my brain with delicious word morsels. ~~Click here to view Artist's Resumé~~ |
